Rotarians end soccer tournament


Rotarians in district 9140 took time out of their humanitarian work to indulge in the game of soccer at the football section of the  Port Harcourt club Old G.R.A. on Sunday. The soccer tournament which is the initiative of the District Governor Rtn. Ijeoma Okoro was aimed at building team spirit, friendship and also foster good health among Rotarians in 22 zones that ccomprise district 9140. Speaking on behalf of the district Governor Rtn. Okoro, the Assistant District Governor Rtn. Chidi. Ikeji commended Zone 20 for their exceptional performance.  In a keenly contested tournament that saw the elimination of Rotary Club of Port Harcourt creek view and Rotary club of port Harcourt north. Rotary club of port Harcourt gateway won the trophy defeating Rotary club of Trans Amadi in a penalty shootout.  The most valuable player award went to the president of Rotary club of Trans Amadi Rtn.  Ann Anyaka, the most valuable midfielder award went to Rtn. Lucky Akhiwu while Rtn Patrick Ohio and Rtn Izu Okafor were also recognized.
